Mission Statement

At Not So Pretty, our mission is to empower women by shining a light on the hidden dangers of toxic chemicals in everyday personal care products. We are a movement rooted in advocacy, support, and education, standing with those affected by cancer and committed to protecting future generations.

We raise awareness about the links between harmful ingredients and women’s health issues, especially cancer, and work tirelessly to hold companies accountable.

By promoting safer alternatives and amplifying the voices of survivors, we aim to create meaningful change in an industry that too often prioritizes profit over safety.

We are here to support women at every stage of their journey — from discovery to diagnosis, from treatment to healing. Through trustworthy information, real-life stories, and access to helpful resources, we offer a place of strength, solidarity, and hope.

Every woman deserves to feel safe in the products she uses. We’re here to make sure that happens.

Our Core Values

1. Transparency:

We believe in uncovering the truth. Whether through ingredient awareness, product safety, or corporate accountability — we advocate for honesty and full disclosure in personal care products.

2. Advocacy:
We fight for policy change, corporate responsibility, and increased research on the impact of toxins on women’s health. We give voice to those harmed and create pathways for justice and reform.

3. Empowerment through Education:
Knowledge is power. We equip women with facts, research, and guidance to help them make informed decisions and protect themselves and their families.

4. Compassion & Community:
We are a network of survivors, allies, and advocates bound by care and compassion. Whether navigating a diagnosis or fighting for change, you are not alone.

5. Prevention & Progress:
We promote safer alternatives, support innovation in clean beauty and wellness, and celebrate the progress being made in the fight against toxic exposure.
